FAQ

Questions before you buy

Clear answers about credits, QPS, usage, and production fit.

Why do standard credits have no calendar expiry?

SerpBase does not reserve a dedicated idle resource group for each customer. Standard credits run on a shared, continuously active resource pool where proxy, scheduling, and parsing capacity is used across active workloads.

We adjust upstream proxy resources based on real request volume, request frequency, and request type. High usage can trigger capacity or route changes, while low usage does not lock one account to unused dedicated infrastructure.

QPS limits help keep this shared pool stable and protect success rate for everyone. For higher-volume use cases, we can discuss a better concurrency and routing strategy.

What is the difference between limited-time and standard credits?

The Starter Boost is a $3/month subscription: each cycle grants 10,000 credits that stay available until that cycle ends. Standard credits have no calendar expiry and stay on an active account until used, subject to the Terms. There is no standard monthly purchase cap, though payment review, account limits, and service capacity still apply. Subscription credits are used first when both balances exist.

Why is there a QPS limit?

QPS limits prevent sudden bursts from filling active routes, which helps keep latency and success rate stable. They are not meant to block legitimate growth; higher QPS can be reviewed based on actual usage.

How are credits consumed?

Most web, news, and video requests use 1 credit. Images and Maps endpoints use 2 credits. Service-side failures that qualify under system rules may have credits restored automatically; this is not a cash refund. Usage is visible in the dashboard logs.

Do you offer custom pricing or capacity for high-volume use?

Yes. Contact us before sustained high-volume use so we can review QPS, concurrency, routing, and capacity. Custom quotes are normally valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise; buying credits or receiving an unsigned quote does not reserve dedicated capacity, create an SLA, or lock future pricing.
